 The Parker Agency was founded in 1906 by Dudley Denton, a Somerset business man who was later to also found Citizens National Bank. We were not known as the Parker Agency until John Murphy Parker and his sister Mary Parker purchased the business in 1942. Originally our offices were located above the old Citizens National Bank on Somerset's public square in the building that is now occupied by the Prather Law Offices. The agency moved to North Main Street in 1959 and relocated to our current location in the old Somerset City Hospital building in September 1995.
